Dear parishioners of St Anne’s and St Anthony’s, this weekend will be my first weekend as parish priest at your parishes. It is a great joy to have been asked by the archbishop to come and serve you in these communities. I look forward to getting to know you over the coming weeks and months.
This is my first appointment as a parish priest, so I plan to take things gently at first not making any huge changes, getting to know the parishes, parishioners, and simply getting used to the change in responsibility.
I would love the opportunity to get to know you better, so please do consider inviting me round for a cup of tea to get to know you and your family.
I do plan on starting the weekday masses again very soon. Unfortunately, this week I am away at a conference, so they will start again next week.
Fr Sean

Parishioners, families and friends are warmly invited to join together in the lounge bar every Sunday morning after 11.00am Mass, where tea, coffee and biscuits are served. This is a lovely opportunity to come together, socialise and get to know other members of the parish.
Please come and join us on Wednesday 27th of August 2025, 1.00 - 3.00pm in the Parish Centre. The entrance fee is £2, to help those in need in our community, and there will be the usual bingo and raffle. Future tea dances will be on 24th September and 29th October.
Gift Aid Envelopes for New Donors are still available for the current year
If you are are making regular offerings to the church and are a current tax payer you are eligible to join the Gift Aid Scheme. It is simple to join and is not intrusive. The benefit is that for every £1 you donate, the church receives a further £0.25 from the government. This is money for nothing and is a major source of revenue for the Parish.
A considerable number of Parishioners now make donations by Standing Order, in most cases monthly. These can be for either GAD or Non Gad.
.Would anyone who is interested in setting up a Standing Order or joining the Gift Aid Scheme
Please contact me on 07752384476
Thank you for your co-operation.
